A Vision for Discipleship
God calls us to a life of discipleship, a personal walk with him where we bring all our life into alignment with the way of Christ and encourage others to do the same. This Discipleship Conference took place on April 20th in Tremont, IL. The theme "A Vision for Discipleship" included main sessions, breakouts, and practice forums, all focused on helping attendees create a discipleship vision in their local communities.

What does it mean to be a disciple of Jesus? In this opening session we envision a life of following Jesus through the ABCs of Discipleship: Abide in Jesus, Become like Jesus, and Continue his work.

Testimonies of Discipleship
As a branch continues to grow, its work expands. This is the way of discipleship - an ever-expanding, bearing of fruit through abiding and becoming like Christ. In this main session, learn from a panel of discipleship leaders on how they have faithfully attempted this work.

Jesus had twelve disciples. They had more. Consequently, there exists an unbreakable link of first names between you and Jesus. In this breakout, you will remember and name some of those people and imagine forward to what this means for you and the next generation.

Technology's effect on discipleship cannot be ignored. In this breakout, we will learn to navigate the unique opportunities as well as the challenges disciples of Jesus face in a complex digital age.

How does discipleship relate to evangelism? In this breakout, a HarvestCall leader will help us gain a clearer understanding of how discipleship serves as the cornerstone for effective evangelism. The session will provide valuable guidance on practicing a holistic approach to evangelistic efforts that lead others into living as committed disciples of Jesus.

Personalizing Spiritual Disciplines
Spiritual Disciplines can be defined as any practice that opens us up to the action of God [a "means of grace"]. They are not restricted to the "classic" disciplines we often think of. In this breakout, we will learn how to personalize disciplines, thereby positioning individuals from all types of personalities and circumstances to connect with God.

Spectacular or "ah-ha" moments are the aim of discipleship - right? The reality is that most of life can be fairly mundane. Faithfulness in the workplace, parenting, campus and other common areas of life have the potential to bear the fruit of discipleship as well. In this breakout, we will consider how to approach our "every day" with a lens of discipleship.
