ACCFS Courses provide teaching while facilitating community. Course topics will be broken down into thoughtfully measured lessons. These lessons will be consumable in an online format from the ease of your hand-held device or computer. A forum for collaboration along with easy to use chat features will help facilitate group support among the participants. Courses are a ministry for the Apostolic Christian Church of America and are designed primarily for attendees of this denomination. Basic Counseling Skills

Every discipline and profession has a mindset and a skill set that enable individuals to do what they do. When it comes to counseling people, there is likewise a mindset and a skill set. The objective of this course is to motivate, inform and equip helpers in counseling others. The lessons cover the counselor's mindset & skill set, as well as how to encourage and help people. Biblical Decision Making

Biblical decision-making shouldn’t be a mystery. Each of us make decisions every day that affect our lives and the lives of those around us. This course is designed to help think through the factors involved in making wise, biblically-based decisions. We hope these lessons will bring out both the obvious and subtle factors that affect that process. Core 8: Building Vulnerable Community

By nature of the lives we lead and the world we live in, we share common pain. This pain is not unique to our age or location but is common to all people everywhere and for all time. If not handled properly, pain can cause spiritual, emotional and relational struggle. Very often, people live their lives limping from pain not suitably cared for. Furthermore, God intends for us to find support for our pain in a receptive, vulnerable community. This eight lesson, group course intends to build a community that understands eight sources of pain and how to support healing in ourselves and others. Emotional Intelligence

Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is the aptitude a person has for identifying their emotions, regulating them and wisely acting in accordance to their purpose. Individuals with high EQ are more likely to have satisfying relationships. Fortunately, emotional intelligence is not fixed. Rather it can be cultivated and grown. Emotional Regulation Skills

God has made us wonderfully. Our emotions and our bodies are closely connected. In fact, emotion always happens in the body. Just as emotions affect the body, the body affects emotions. There are bodily techniques that can be learned to bring about a healthy emotional experience. This course aims at equipping you with the skills to have healthy control over your emotions so that they can be used as God intended them to be used. This course teaches six emotional regulation skills. We recommend spending 1 week per skill.

Healing from Sexual Betrayal

Sexual betrayal is one of the most painful relationship wounds a marriage can endure. Sexual betrayal takes many forms. Pornography, sex addictions and adultery are a few examples of the realities of sexual betrayal. This course is intended to provide support to wives who have endured this pain. This short, three lesson course is designed to help bring discipleship to your family, small group or local church. First, we explore the mindset for being a community that makes disciples. Second, we are equipped with a tangible skillset for discipling others. Lastly, we will envision what it might look like to share discipleship practices together as a believing community.

Identity

A person who knows how to live with a healthy identity often feels more settled and grounded. Imagine Jesus for a moment. He knew who he was. He understood his purpose, his role. Jesus lived with people in such an appropriate way because of his settled identity. Wonderfully, with effort, we can grow in this area of our lives. Lessons on Grief

Lessons on Grief provides community and discussion for those who have lost a loved one. Each of the eight lessons is centered on a theme often experienced by those who journey through grief. As a group walks through the content together, the content will facilitate a discussion to provide help, hope, and growth. Sexual Integrity 1.2.3. - for men or women

Sexual integrity is won and maintained in community. This 15-week course has versions for either male or female groups. In this course, participants form a small support group and complete one lesson per week. Each lesson consists of teaching, reflection prompts, prayer, and Scripture. Spiritual Formation: Abiding in Jesus Together

We are all being formed – every. day. From fashion to opinions, we are all being molded by our environment. Spiritual formation is the process of the Holy Spirit, with our cooperation, bringing us into a deeper relationship with God and conforming us to be more like Jesus. This 10-lesson course will help us slow down so that we can be molded by God. It is designed to be done with a small group. A discipleship community that will long outlive this 13-week course.

Telling Myself the Truth

Self-talk is the internal chatter we are constantly speaking to ourselves. It is an inward narrative, a continual live commentary from ourselves to ourselves. Sometimes this narrative can be false. When misbeliefs color our inward commentary, the results are always unhealthy. This course attempts to help participants learn how to recognize, evaluate and correct unhealthy self-talk. It is designed for a participant to walk with a mentor through skills that will teach a participant how to speak truth to themselves. You can enroll by clicking on the link below.

Way of Purity

The ACWP course is designed for men and women, who attend the Apostolic Christian Church, and are struggling with pornography and sexual impurity. Designed to be done daily, the 30 lessons serve as a guide showing a path out of sexual sin and are most effective when used with a mentor.
